Eklektik musik from the heart of the wild Karpathians
Koszika is rooted in Hungarian, Romanian, and Gypsy music – the music of the three ethnic groups sharing the land of Transylvania – but clothing them in different outfits and accesorising them stylishly.
As a duo they will showcase the rich musical
tapestry of their multicultural homeland in a concert entitled Transylvanian Tales, bravely fusioning geographically distant styles and genres such as traditional folclore, neo soul, reggae, bossa nova, weaving them together into a borderless, post-genre
music.

music.
The experience is more than just a concert: it is a blanket of folclore inspired and original songs, with stories that will give the songs context and wrap the audience in a warm hug. This is a land of thousand year old shamanic vibrations mixed with modern, electrically eclectic sound, but with a touch of nostalgia. Somewhere in between a wild pine forest and a medieval city, communist era blocks and modern shopping malls, East and West, candle light and flashing neons, acoustic and electric.
Their duo backed by their band, The Hotshots, is an extended 7 piece band with rhythm- and brass sections, which takes their music to a louder, more funk-driven territory, spiced with wild instrumental and vocal jazz improvisations, drawing inspiration from a wide range of different genres and styles from folclore, jazz, pop, funk, classical, Urban Folk or Village Pop.
